A battery changes everything
Induction stoves need a lot of power, for short periods of time.
Charlie uses a built-in battery to give you that power when you need it. It charges intelligently during times when renewable energy is available, so you're always ready to cook.
Charlie's also got your back when the power goes out, with enough on board power to cook 3-5 meals.

Breathe easy
Induction cooking is clean. Gas isn't.
Many studies have been done on the harmful effects of gas cooking, which uses methane and produces noxious gases such as carbon monoxide, benzene, nitrous oxides, and formaldehyde.
42% increased risk of childhood asthma from gas stoves
Children living in a home with a gas stove have a 42% increased risk of experiencing asthma symptoms, according to a 2013 report in the International Journal of Epidemiology.
76% of gas stoves leak methane when turned off
A 2022 Stanford University study of 53 gas stoves found that even when they were off, more than three-quarters of them leaked methane from their fittings and pipes.
10-50x more benzene — a known cause of blood cancers — is emitted from gas stoves than electric stoves. Induction cooktops do not emit benzene.
A 2023 Stanford University study found that indoor levels of benzene, a carcinogen produced by gas stove flames, can be "worse than secondhand smoke," even if the range hood vents outdoors.

Plays well with others
Charlie works best with a dedicated outlet. However, it can also share an outlet with another appliance. Our technology protects circuits from overloading when it detects power being drawn from two appliances simultaneously.

With full-service installation, you'll not only receive a beautiful new range and get it installed, you'll also get your cooking gas line capped and your old stove hauled to a recycling center. If full-service installation is available to you, you will see it on the payment screen under the shipping options.
