RANGE information
Will you make a 36" range, cooktop, range top, or other sizes?
We are focusing on the 30" range as our first product. We plan to expand our offerings in the future to include additional sizes and form factors. We are actively exploring solutions to accommodate other sizes, including one for 36” and 24" products, and we plan to share more soon. The best way to stay informed on product updates and announcements is to subscribe to our emails via the form fill below.
What sizes and outputs are the induction cooking zones?
From a shape and size perspective, as long as your pans have a flat bottom and are greater than 3 ⅛” in diameter, they will work. To test for compatibility, place a magnet on the bottom of your pan. The stronger the magnet sticks, the better the cookware will work with induction.
Cast iron, enameled cast iron, and many types of stainless-steel cookware are all induction-compatible.
Aluminum, copper, and glass cookware will not heat up or turn on unless it has a magnetic metal layer at the bottom.
How durable is the cooktop's surface?
The cooktop is made of durable glass-ceramic composite and is very robust. We suggest avoiding sliding heavy pots or pans full of food across the surface, as this action might cause small scratches. Instead, pick up the cookware and move it.
Scratching can be caused by burrs on the bottom of pans that are dragged across the cooktop or if salt or any hard, granular ingredient has been spilled on the cooktop and a pan is dragged over it.
Treat your cooktop and pans well, and they’ll treat you to many delicious meals and a gleaming surface for years to come.
BATTERY INFORMATION
How long does the battery last?
We’re guessing you’re asking a few different questions here, so we’ll break it down:
How long will my stove have power if there’s a power outage?
- During a power outage, a fully charged 5 kWh battery can power the range for four to six meals.
Can I cook a big meal, like dinner for 50, without running out of power? - We have also tested the range's battery capacity by cooking a Thanksgiving-sized meal for 50 people. We were able to accomplish this easily on a fully charged battery.
Will I ever need to replace the battery?
The battery is a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which typically lasts for 10-15 years before you experience significant degradation. The battery is modular so we can send you a new one if needed. If your battery has many years of life left when you need a new range, you can go ahead and pop it in your new Copper range for reuse.
